The
Betts House has been part of Cincinnati's
history for two hundred years. Built in 1804 it is located in the
Betts-Longworth Historic District in the city's West End. In 1995 the
oldest surviving brick building in Cincinnati became the "Betts House
Research Center," a place dedicated to the study of building materials
and traditions.This remarkable survivor of Cincinnati's period of
settlement serves as a valuable resource and artifact for the study of
early building materials and architecture. We invite you to visit this
special place!
Volunteers
and Interns
Volunteers at the Betts
House assist with tours and public programs. We also utilize volunteers
for Bond at the Betts and are
particularly interested in individuals with experience in the building
trades (carpentry, masonry, etc.), architecture and construction.
Interns are considered for specific projects.

Membership
Our members are the mortar holding this brick house together! Members
are invited to receptions at the house and special events. They
also receive free admission to the Betts House and reduced admission to
Betts House programs.
There are

Other days and times are available by appointment.
The Betts House is closed on federal holidays and during the month of
